Change Management in an Agile World

Many organizations are in the midst of, or have already completed, transforming their organization to become more “Agile.” The rationale for this migration is that Agile, much like its name implies, allows for changes to happen much faster, increasing the likelihood that the end-product will better align with current business needs. However, this shift has left many change managers scratching their heads wondering where they fit into this new reality. As organizations continue to adopt more Agile practices, the need for change management becomes more and more important. In this session we will provide a little background on Agile and discuss how important the role of change manager is in Agile projects.

Jim Yahres is a Chief Technologist for Booz Allen Hamilton, a leading government consulting firm based in McLean, VA. Jim has over 18 years of technical project and program management experience and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Coach. Jim is currently leading a number of projects that include assisting his government clients through Agile transformations.
