ACMP Board Elections  General Information

 Applications to be a part of the Board are accepted all year round via email to  Roles are appointed following review of the application and an interview.  Incoming Board members have the opportunity to shadow and receive transition support to ensure a smooth transfer of roles. 

 The ACMP Atlanta Board  is made up of 4 Executive Board (Officer) positions and 4 Board Chair (Director) positions with designated responsibilities. The Board positions are voluntary and unpaid roles. 

The ACMP Atlanta Board of Directors nomination/application process is open year round.

All Board Members serve a 2 year term. 

President serves a 3 year term (2 year in role, 1 year  Board-Member-At-Large)

How to Apply 

Applications and Nominations are accepted and reviewed year round. 

The current Board will review, interview and appoint new Board Members. 

Applications can be for a specific Board Role or can be 'open for appointment,'  meaning, if selected the individual(s) will determine the Board title upon installment onto the Board.

  • Subject: Application for (State Position(s) you are interested in) 
  • Your full name
  • Up to 250 words on why you wish to join the Board and what you bring to the chapter
  • Up to 250 words on your professional background / bio
  • A headshot

Overview of the Process

  • Year Round : Nomination & Application submitted to
  • Q&A Informational Conference Calls will be scheduled 
  •  Come learn "what's this all about" and ask questions Applicants are invited to Interview 
  • Offers to join the Board are extended
  • Dec 1 - Incoming Board Announced
  • Jan 1 - New Term Begins 





Overview of Board Member Responsibilities

  • Two-year term, serving from January 1 to December 31
  • Approximately 8-10 hours per month (includes Monthly Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, ACMP Atlanta Activities)
  • Leader, Role Model and Advocate for the Chapter and the Change Management Practice
  • Engaged in Board participation, chapter governance, and fiduciary responsibility
  • Active leadership role requiring strategic planning and volunteer management
  • Support the collaborative leadership approach that drives a highly engage board
  • Bring vision, both strategic and tactical,  to your role and the board as a whole
  • Additional duties as assigned
