 OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE                                           Current ACMP Atlanta Members who demonstrate a desire to be a part of a team and help lead the next phase of our Chapter’s growth. Board Members possess a strong interest in service to  help build a thriving change community. Board Members are committed to advancing the change management profession and want to have an active role in leading the way that change is managed in Atlanta.

UPCOMING TERM: Jan 1, 2021 - Dec 31 2022

All Board Members serve a 2 year term. 

President serves a 3 year term (2 year in role, 1 year  Board-Member-At-Large). 

All positions are volunteer and unpaid.

How to Apply 

For the 2021-2022 term, Board Applications are accepted August 1 to August 30.

The current Board will review all applications, conduct interviews and appoint new Board Members. 

Applications can be for one or more positions. As applicable, Board roles will be confirmed upon installment onto the Board.

The application will ask you for the following information: 

  • Your name and email address. 
  • Select the position(s) that you are interested.
  • Share why you wish to join the Board and what you can contribute to the Board/Chapter. Provide a specific, detailed response.
  • Tell us about yourself. Share a brief professional background / bio.

Overview of the Application Process/Timeline (subject to change) 

  • Aug 1: Application Period Opens
  • Aug 12: Q&A / Interest Meeting 
  • Aug 24: Q&A / Interest Meeting
  • Aug 30: Application Period Closes 
  • Aug-Sept: Applications reviewed and Interviews 
  • Sept: Incoming Board Announced
  • Sept-Jan: Incoming Board Members shadow/transition period 
  • Jan 1, 2021 - New Term Begins

Overview of Board Member Responsibilities

  • Two-year term, serving from January 1 to December 31
  • Approximately 8-10 hours per month (includes Monthly Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, ACMP Atlanta Activities)
  • Leader, Role Model and Advocate for the Chapter and the Change Management Practice
  • Engaged in Board participation, chapter governance, and fiduciary responsibility
  • Active leadership role requiring strategic planning and volunteer management
  • Support the collaborative leadership approach that drives a highly engage board
  • Bring vision, both strategic and tactical,  to your role and the board as a whole
  • Additional duties as assigned
