We're accepting applications for those passionate in driving, influencing, and cultivating change! 

Target candidates are current ACMP Atlanta Members, in good standing, who demonstrate desire and commitment to being apart of the team helping to lead the next phase of ACMP Atlanta’s growth. Prospective board members must possess a strong interest in service along with proven experience in or applicable transferrable skills to the role to which they are applying.

Open Board Positions (UPCOMING TERM — January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2024)

All Board Members must commit to serving a 2-year term.   

  • The President serves 3-year term (Two years in the role and one year as Past President/Board-Member-At-Large). Please note that all positions are volunteer and unpaid. 

Executive Board (Officers):

  • Vice President 

  • Treasurer 

  • Secretary  

  • Memberships (New Role)  

Board Chairs (Directors): 

  • Events & Programming 

  • Learning & Development 

  • Partnerships & Sponsorships 

How to Apply

Board applications for the 2023 – 2024 term will be accepted from August 1– 31, 2022.

The current board will review all applications, conduct interviewsand appoint the new board Members. 

Applicants are eligible to apply to multiple positions. As applicable, board roles will be appointed and confirmed upon installation onto the board. 

The application requires the following information: 

  • Contact Information including name, e-mail address and telephone number 

  • The position(s) that you are interested in 

  • A statement detailing why you wish to join ACMP Atlanta’s board and what you can contribute to the chapter 

  • Current resume and professional bio 

OVERVIEW OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS/TIMELINE (subject to change): 

  • August 1: Application Period Opens 

  • August 16: Q&A /Board Interest Meeting #1 

  • August 30: Q&A /Board Interest Meeting #2 

  • August 31: Application Period Closes 

  • September 2022: Applications reviewed; interviews conducted

  • October 2022: Incoming Board Announced 

  • October 2022 – January 2023: Incoming Board Members shadow/transition period 

  • January 1, 2023: New Term Begins 

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY: 

  • Applicants must be current ACMP Atlanta Members in good standing 

  • Board Members must maintain an active, paid ACMP Global Membership for the duration of the term 

OVERVIEW OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS: 

OVERVIEW OF BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Serve a two (2) year term that runs from January 1 - December 31, 2023 
  • President-elect serves a three (3) year term 
  • Enthusiastically, consistently, and thoroughly complete all role requirements and obligations 
  • Attend all board meetings and ACMP Atlanta activities and events  
  • Time commitment is approximately 10-12 hours per month (includes Monthly Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, ACMP Atlanta Activities) 
  • Be a leader and advocate for ACMP Atlanta and Change management  
  • Active participation in chapter governance and overall fiduciary accountability 
  • Play an active role in leadership, which requires strategic planning and volunteer management
  • Support a collaborative leadership approach that drives and contributes to a highly engaged board 
  • Bring strategic vision and tactical expertise to your role and to the board  
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
